What are the benefits of online versus classroom learning?
Our online programs offer many benefits, the most important of which is FLEXIBILITY! You can choose when and how long you want to study, thus moving through the courses at your own pace. Our interactive exercises incorporate listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar components, producing effective language learning results. You can also seek and receive individual teacher attention whenever you are having difficulties to learn.
Who teaches the online Courses ?
Online courses are given by experienced native Arabic speaking teachers of Sedra Center who have been teaching for many years on the subjects.
How Do I Access My Course?
After Successful registration, you will be given a link & password to attend your online sessions with the assigned teacher.
Are There Prerequisites or Language Requirements?
There is a free 2-hours placement test, if you had a previous knowledge of Arabic language. If not you can always join from the starting level. Only Exception here is the Advanced Grammar & Eloquence Programs which require finishing the intermediate level of Classical Arabic Program. Also, It is required for students to have a stable internet connection of 2 MiB at least & have their Camera Opened.
What is the meaning of " Lesson-Hour " ?
Each ” Lesson-Hour ” consists of 50 minutes for Lesson & 10 minutes for Break.
Can I Take More than One Course at a Time?
If your time allows it, we will be more than happy to enroll you to a Program of your interest.
What is the language of instruction?
While explanations for our coursework are sometimes given in English, most instruction is delivered in Arabic, using pictures and animation to help you learn and understand the material, without relying on another language as a medium of transferring information.
Is it possible to select a different teacher after level start ?
In case of problems in the first half of a level, another teacher will be offered.
How is the time for Online Classes determined ?
The student send us which days and hours in the day in which they are available to take classes. Meanwhile, One of our Teachers will be assigned to the student to contact him & offer him the placement Test (if required ) and the classes will begin. If a teacher can not be arranged, student will be sent recommendations for the available day and time on which there are teachers available.
Once I have completed a course, will I get a certificate?
Yes, upon completion of one of our Programs or Tiers ( not levels ), you can order an electronic certificate for free at any time. You can also order a hard-copy certificate which we will mail to the address of your choice. However, we do charge administrative fees for this in order to cover the cost of our mailing expenses.
Is there an Attendance System during Courses ?
Yes, There is. Any Student who gets Absent for 7 ( Lesson-Hours ) during a level, will be considered a Fail. To repeat the same level new Fees must be paid in Advance.
Is it Possible to Cancel a class or Postpone it Temporarily ?
In Case of Classes with a Single Student ( not a Group ), Cancellation or Postponing of a class must be informed to the teacher at least 6 hours in advance. Otherwise, the student will be considered Absent ( Max 2 Cancellations or Postpones are allowed during a level ).
What does the End of a Level Exam consist of ?
At the end of any level the student will be given an Exam that consists of Reading, Listening, Writing, and Dictation Modules to evaluate what the student has learned during the level period. To pass the Exam and proceed to the next Level, a student must achieve 70 % of the Exam Points.
